refocus and delight

LIFE GROUPS AT A NEW CHURCH: A WOMEN'S GROUP AND A COUPLES GROUP. My husband and I signed up to volunteer as leaders at our new church's life group ministry for this semester. It has been four years since we hosted a small group in downtown LA. I can say that I no longer face the challenges I have experienced while hosting and living in downtown LA: limited parking for members and small kitchen space in apartments. Now, I don't have concerns about parking and having enough space to prepare food for our group members. So grateful to God for providing us a home to welcome and have fellowship with other believers here in Texas.

As a facilitator for our women's life group session yesterday, I wanted to prepare early for our study Journey Through the Sermon on the Mount. I started reading the book of Matthew this week after reading and meditating on the 2 books of Corinthians. My routine during daily quiet time is to read the Bible first, meditate on the Word, and read two devotionals. After I read and meditated on Matthew Chapter 5, I flipped the pages of my devotional to read the message of the day. I was so fascinated on the timing of the message that I had to take a photo.
