PAPER WALLS. All I can say is "wow!". This series from Andy Stanley has opened my eyes and made me reflect on my relationship with God and others. I will be sharing gleanings from his teaching and links to the videos.
MY NOTES from Andy Stanley's Paper Wall Series:
*Our excuses excuse us from engaging with others.
Our excuses excuse us from loving others.
*If you can't see you're wrong, you'll be wrong your entire life.
*Is it possible you're missing out because you've walled yourself in?
*Fear missing out on what you could do and should do for the people and the world around you.
Fear missing out on who you could be and should be.
*People who make excuses rarely make much of a difference.
*Is it possible that some of your well-rehearsed reasons are actually excuses?
*Excuses are often selfishness disguised as humility.
*Excuses- subtle way of refusing to take responsibility for their lives.
*If you don't identify your excuses, you'll excuse your life away.
*An excuse is a lie we tell ourselves. You may owe you an apology.
*There's a fine line between a reason and an excuse.
*Do you want excuses to be the boss of you?
*Sin is anything that hurts someone. It breaks a relationship; breaks God's heart.
*There are two kinds of people in the world: People who make a difference and people who make excuses.
*You miss out. The world misses out on you. You miss out on God's plan for you.
*God loves you just the way you are.
God loves you too much to leave you the way you are.
