refocus and delight

ABLE AND WILLING. I am bombarded with endless tasks on a daily basis and gets satisfaction if all these tasks are completed. I find myself constantly doing chores, keeping the house clean and organized, making sure my husband has laundered/ironed uniforms, and having home-cooked meals available at all times. I also harvest, cook, and compost. My meticulous attention to waste disposal and recycling takes time. These actions reflect my desire to be a good steward of God's resources, showing my gratitude and appreciation for what I have.

One of the challenges I face during this busyness is the willingness to be interrupted. There were countless times when I bargained with the Lord if I can delay my response to his promptings. Most of the promptings I receive involve reaching out to family and friends. The countless times I bargained for delay resulted in delayed comfort in moments of unbearable pain, delayed sense of hope in moments of despair, and a delayed sense of feeling loved in moments of loneliness.

We are able but are we willing to carve out time in our busy schedule to love and care for those who are in need?

The saying that there are never enough hours in a day can be so true and family and friends are always on our minds and in our hearts💜
