WHEN GOOD INTENTIONS ARE VIEWED AS OFFENSIVE. What do you do when your good intentions are viewed as offensive? Most often, the person who got offended will call you names, give you a label, and 'cancel' you. We all probably will apologize first after getting over the shock that someone was offended by our actions and words. If you have a deeper relationship with God, you might wonder what character trait he wants you to develop after experiencing this unexpected event. You will also understand that the offended person is hurt and is not in a peaceful place in his life. You will most likely surrender the experience to God and pray for the person.
James 3:17-18
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
