My husband and I had the opportunity to attend Class 201- Discovering my Spiritual Maturity for the second time 3 weeks ago. We were given a booklet to guide us through developing a habit of having a daily quiet time. Although I have an established daily quiet time, the booklet highlighted for me the importance of reflection and recording which I have recently started.
I came across James 1:19-21 on the fourth day and was surprised what stood out to me. The verse ' because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires' made an impact on me that day. I have read this scripture so many times and every time I read it, the verse that stands out is 'be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry'. It takes a lot of effort for me to do this, a challenging task that requires patience which I am constantly working on. I realized that if I focus on 'the righteousness that God desires" I will be driven to make a conscious effort on controlling my anger.

What will you do to live this out today?
