THE COMPLEXITY OF CILANTRO. My husband and I tried to grow cilantro in the balcony of our downtown LA apartment. Initially, we bought one potted cilantro folowed by two more pots after unsuccesful attempts. After the third potted cilantro withered, we decided to buy a packet of cilantro seeds. We experimented with a few seeds on the first phase and used up all the seeds after planting in four phases. This is the only seed that sprouted and thrived!
If you look closely, the cilantro is sharing the space with a lemon plant. You may wonder why this happened. Well, this was not intentional. It stemmed from my unusual habit of mixing soil from pots of withered plants. I was so surprised to see the cilantro growing. The element of surprise didn't stop here. In one of the pots with withered cilantro, an avocado grew😱 I guess I'll continue mixing the soil...
