enlighten and ignite

With the recent earthquakes and aftershocks, I am glad that we live on the 5th floor now. Our previous apartment was on the 21st floor. Although I prefer living in a mid rise building, I miss the kitchen island in our previous apartment. It served as my built-in cutting table😊

After so many months of procrastinating, I have finally completed changing the cover of my foot stool. Initially, I planned on sewing a casing for ties. I ended up just tying the fabric and securing it with safety pins. I used the old temporary cover by removing the elastic so I can measure and allot extra fabric for coverage. I missed the kitchen island while cutting the fabric😒Oh well...
