REPURPOSING SAUCE JARS. I try not to collect a category of items but I made an exception at the beginning of this year. It all started when I didn't have the heart to toss an empty Rao's jar in the recycling bin. One became two, then three, four, and you get the picture. My fascination with saving mason jars and "quality" jars have began. Being an organized and neat person, I struggled with finding the right location for these jars. I can't remember the number of times I re-organized my kitchen cabinets. After numerous attempts to hide my collection of empty jars, I decided to store all the jars on the very top shelf of the cabinet above the gas range hood. I didn't want my husband to think I'm a hoarder. At one point, he threw a "loving" shade at me after seeing me put another empty jar on the shelf!
Then came the day the shelf had no room for one more jar. I had to make a decision if I don't want to re-arrange the cabinets again. Fortunately, I came across a show on TV that featured Yotam Ottolenghi's Test Kitchen. As I watched the show, my eyes were drawn to the open shelves in the kitchen filled with jars of different sizes. That's it! I don't have to buy expensive containers of the same size to store my pantry essentials. All I had to do was remove the labels😊

It all looks so much prettier in the jars great idea 😊
