ANOTHER SEWING FIRST: BOOK COVER/BOOK BAG. Sewing doesn't come naturally to me. I have difficulty following patterns and making alterations. Sometimes, I have to view a YouTube tutorial so many times to get it right such as the self-binding baby blanket. You probably get the picture by now.

When friends ask if I can do sewing projects for them, I willingly rise up to the challenge even if I don't have a clue on how to do it. I always think that I can try to figure it out. Recently, a friend asked if I can make a book bag. I can say the process was not smooth and I had to use a lot of brain cells to complete the project. I joked that writing the thesis paper for my master's degree was easier than sewing this book bag. But I had more fun sewing!
