Only one thing amongst all my plans and tasks started on time in 2019. Before the big reveal, I want to share that I am usually organized and have a clean slate prior to the new year. The end of 2018 was the only time I wasn't prepared for the new year.
I always get excited when celebrating the new year. For me, it signifies a major new beginning even though I am fully aware that each waking moment is an opportunity to change and improve. What sets the beginning of a new year apart from daily life? My personal perspective is the choice of a minor change and a major transformation. I can say that change is constant in my life. In 2017, I moved 5 times, including cross country and short term hotel stays to apartments.
So this year, I began 2019 with a chapter of Proverbs and a chapter in the book of Daniel a day. The book of Proverbs provides the structure in my relationships with others while the book of Daniel helps me refocus on my lifestyle especially my eating habits and spiritual growth. I should have added the book of Psalms so I can add worship in my daily quiet time. Oh well, maybe I can still catch up or start next month!
