SIDE DISHES PREP DAY. Sunday is usually my Sabbath Day. However, I wasn't able to adhere to my schedule two weeks ago because of meal prep. The actual meal prep was quite enjoyable (as I also use the time to listen to podcasts) but the other activities before and after the prep were a little strenuous. That day when I decided to do the meal prep for less than an hour, my husband did the slow cooking process of smoking a slab of pork ribs, chicken quarters, and salmon filet for a total of 6 hours. Even with the fast meal prep, I ended up in the kitchen longer than I have expected to spend time in washing sheet pans, bowls, and pots. In the end, I'm glad I did the meal prep because whipping up the side dishes during the week became a breeze. On another note, I also designated another day as my Sabbath😊
Simple side dishes: Roasted Broccoli (not pictured), Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Blanched Green Bean Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing and Sesame Seeds, Colorful salad with tomatoes, cucumber, blanched green beans, and shredded carrots mixed with Sesame Ginger dressing and topped with sesame seeds.
