ANOTHER INDULGENCE. I try to avoid eating processed foods. I've done well over the past years when I did all the grocery shopping. Now that my husband has time to come along during grocery runs, I have turned a blind eye to a few processed foods in our grocery cart. A bag of frozen tater tots ruined it for me.


It all came about at my second dine-out experience during the pandemic last August. My aunt invited us to celebrate her birthday at 180blu at the Ritz Carlton. One of the appetizers that my husband ordered was the Baja Tater Tots. Honestly, I don't order tater tots when dining out. I think they are plain and boring. That all changed when I had my first bite of the Baja Tater Tots topped with cheese and sauce. Oh my! It made a lasting impression on me and more importantly, my husband. He dreamt about it and craved for it.


Fast forward to December 2020: He finally prepared a similar dish using ALDI's Potato Puffs, Smoked Gruyere, and homemade special sauce. Here it is...
