NO TORTILLA, NO SALSA, NO PROBLEM. When my husband was craving for tacos and we didn't have tortillas and jarred salsa in the fridge, he decided to make it from scratch. Fortunately, we stocked up on dried guajillo chiles, applewood, and hickory smoking chips. He used the smoking chips when grilling bell peppers, onions, jalapeno peppers, zucchini, and Tri-tip. For the salsa, he rehydrated the chiles in a cup of hot water and added it in the blender with the following ingredients: grilled onions, grilled jalapeno peppers, grilled bell peppers, tomatoes, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Then, he transferred the mixture in a pan and let it simmer until thickened. For the homemade flour tortilla, he mixed flour, hot water, salt, and grapeseed oil then kneaded the dough into round circles. It cooked beautifully in a cast iron pan. I helped by flipping the tortillas😊

Everything fresh homemade from scratch is the best! Yummy 😋
