APRICOTS, FROM TREE TO BAKING PAN AND CANNING JAR. My aunt's backyard with fruit trees has a steep incline. To harvest the fruits, one has to cautiously tread through a slippery slope. The area around the apricot tree didn't have a ledge for solid footing. My husband, who has turned into a gardener and avid fruit picker during this pandemic, was so excited to pick the apricots from the tree. On his first attempts of harvest, he kept sliding on the slope. His fierce determination to get to the fruits has led to carving out steps as a ledge on the incline. Once completed, he went on his merry way picking the apricots by hand and pole.


After a few days, the apricots were ready for eating, baking, and canning. Here are the "fruits" of the harvest meticulously crafted by my husband:
