ALL ABOUT CHICKPEAS: AVOCADO HUMMUS AND PASTA SAUCE. I had avocados ripen at the same time last week so I thought of making avocado hummus. But when I realized that I boiled more chickpeas than what I needed, I had to come up with a dish that I can use it for. It just so happened that my husband was cooking bolognese sauce while I was boiling the chickpeas. He wanted to eat pasta for lunch just when I planned on avoiding 'the white stuff'. I couldn't say no to bucatini so I mashed the remaining boiled chickpeas and added it to the bolognese sauce for fiber content.


The following day, I made avocado hummus and used it in my fish and veggie wrap.
