REDEEMING COOKING DISASTERS: LASAGNA AND CHEESE SCONES. When I visited family in Canada last summer, my brother made a request for lasagna. I haven't made lasagna in years so I was a little uncomfortable. cooking the dish. My brother brought the ingredients for the lasagna as well as extra shredded cheese. I had an idea to bake cheese scones with the shredded cheese.
The dishes were a disaster: the lasagna sheets were dry at the edges and the scones turned out salty. I was able to cut off the dry edges of the lasagna and serve the moist, well-cooked section of the dish. I didn't want to waste the dry edges of the pasta so I added beef broth to soften the pasta sheets. According to my family, the sauce was delicious.
Fast forward to Christmas holidays. I felt really bad for messing up the two dishes last summer so I politely asked my husband to make those dishes when we visited family during Christmas. He willingly cooked the lasagna and baked the cheese scones.

The lasagna and scones look yummy 😊
