AWAKEN AND RENEW
Each time he said, " My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me."
2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT

TWEAK AND NOURISH
CHEF'S DELIGHT: COD 2 WAYS, MISO COD AND CRISPY COD.
My husband enjoys whipping up not one, but two amazing dishes from a big fillet of fish! Whenever he grabs some cod, you can bet he's going to create his mouthwatering Beer-battered crispy cod and the deliciously savory miso cod. It's always a treat!

CREATE AND EVOLVE
LIBRARY LOOT:INSPIRATION FROM A STACK OF BOOKS. If you've been following my blog for some time, you know that my husband and I absolutely love our library dates! On one of these delightful visits, I stumbled upon a fantastic book all about gift wrapping. My excitement to dive into the world of gift wrapping was also sparked by my amazing friend Tracy, whose gift wrapping skills are truly top-notch!

ENLIGHTEN AND IGNITE
CIRCULAR FASHION: THE JOY OF MENDING. I am absolutely thrilled to be one of those people who embrace a zero waste lifestyle! I love upcycling, recycling, repurposing, refashioning, and refreshing everything I can. One of the books I borrowed from the library, "Mending Life," was such an incredibly fascinating read!
When my husband washed his brand new pair of work pants, they came out with the bar (trouser hook and bar) completely ripped off. The challenge of figuring out how to repair it was exhilarating for me! As a scientific and academic thinker, the idea of mending it was mind-blowing. I always joke that it takes more brainpower for me to tackle a sewing project than to write a research paper! It was a slow process but I did it, purposeful but not perfect.

REFOCUS AND DELIGHT
A CALL TO AWARENESS AND ACTION: THE GRACE WITHIN US. I intended to write and post about grace last week. However, I faced betrayal and hurt from someone I deeply care about. I realized it would be challenging to write on this topic because I wasn't ready to extend grace. The anger growing within me prevented me from reading a devotional titled "Forgive because God Forgave You".
Grace is God's gift. In Ephesians 2:8, Paul wrote: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. He also wrote in 2 Timothy 1:9, "For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time- to show us his grace through Jesus Christ."
As we delve into more of Paul's teachings in the book of Titus, we fully grasp and embrace God's love. In the third chapter, he wrote: When God our savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. What a promise!
What do we do with the grace within us? The scriptural text in Colossians 3:12-14 provides instructions on how to act as God's chosen holy people. Paul writes, "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony."
Who requires your extra grace this week?
