AWAKEN AND RENEW
For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
2 Corinthians 4: 6-7 NLT

CREATE AND EVOLVE
EMBROIDERY PROJECT: MONOGRAMMED HAND TOWEL FOR A NEW HOUSE. One of my dearest friends moved to a fabulous new house last December, and I couldn't wait to surprise her with a special gift! I embroidered this monogrammed towel just for her. When it came to picking the thread color for the monogram, I opted for this gorgeous shade of silver gray to perfectly complement the brushed nickel fixtures in her beautiful new bathroom.

REFOCUS AND DELIGHT
A CALL TO AWARENESS AND ACTION: THE LIGHT WITHIN US.
In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus declared, "You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it illuminates everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father." Similarly, Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:8-9: For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light produces only what is good and right and true. The moment I chose to follow Jesus was the moment I recognized I became the light of the world. My life transformed. I found joy amidst pain and light in the darkest times. Proverbs 13:9 states: The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the life of the wicked will be snuffed out.
With this understanding of the light within us, we are called to shine this light to those who need it most. In Mark 16:15, Jesus instructed, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone." Similarly, 2 Timothy 4:2 states: Preach the Word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. In this scriptural text, we are directed to be prepared, patient, and encouraging. This instruction is echoed in 1 Peter 3:15: And if anyone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Gentleness and respect are crucial when sharing the Good News.
Who needs to see the light within you?
