AWAKEN AND RENEW

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than people.

TWEAK AND NOURISH

JAPANESE STREET EATS: OKONOMIYAKI AND YAKISOBA.

Every time my husband and I watch a show on the NHK channel about Japanese food, we get this urge to whip up the dishes because they look so delicious. Just the other day, we watched an episode on yakisoba, and it made our mouths water so much that we had to make it right away. We didn't have yakisoba noodles, so we used ramen noodles instead. The homemade yakisoba sauce turned out amazing and could seriously be drizzled on just about any Asian dish.

We pretty much always have smoked salmon in the fridge since we've got homemade bagels in the freezer. It was super convenient when I wanted to use seafood in the okonomiyaki instead of bacon.
