Psalms 141-150 NLT (My highlighted verses)

Psalm 141: 3-4

Take control of what I say, O Lord, and keep my lips sealed.

Don't let me lust for evil things; don't let me participate in acts of wickedness.

Don't let me share in the delicacies of those who do evil.

Psalm 142: 1-2

I cry out to the Lord; I plead for the Lord's mercy.

I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles.

Psalm 143: 8-10

Let me hear of your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting you.

Show me where to walk, for I have come to you in prayer.

Save me from my enemies, Lord; I run to you to hide me.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God.

May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.

Psalm 144: 3-4

O Lord, what are mortals that you should notice us,

mere humans that you should care for us?

For we are but a breath of air; our days are like a passing shadow.

Psalm 145: 1-3

I will praise you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.

Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!

His greatness is beyond discovery!

Psalm 145: 8-9

The Lord is kind and merciful, slow to get angry, full of unfailing love.

The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.

Psalm 145: 17-18

The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.

The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him sincerely.

Psalm 146: 8-9

The Lord opens the yes of the blind.

The Lord lifts the burdens of those bent beneath their loads.

The Lord loves the righteous.

The Lord protects the foreigners among us.

He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

Psalm 147: 11

Rather, the Lord's delight is in those who honor him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Psalm 148: 5-6

Let every created thing give peace to the Lord, for he issued his command,

and they came into being.

He established them forever and forever.His orders will never be revoked.

Psalm 149: 4

For the Lord delights in his people, he crowns the humble with salvation.

Praise the Lord!

Praise God in his heavenly dwelling; praise him in his mighty heaven!

Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!

Praise him with a blast of the trumpet; praise him with the lyre and harp!

Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with stringed instruments and flutes!

Praise him with the clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
