I have a confession to make. I prefer grocery shopping to clothes shopping. I can go to three grocery stores in a week and not get tired of it. In one particular trip to the grocery store, I saw a live butter lettuce I couldn't resist. I immediately thought of LETTUCE WRAPS. First, I prepared the filling. I sauteed minced ginger, shredded celery, shredded carrots, bean sprouts and added a dash of sesame oil. I chopped up left over baked chicken and did a quick saute with sesame oil. I was able to persuade my husband to make peanut hoisin sauce (peanut butter, hoisin, minced garlic, water, sweet chili sauce). The possibilities are endless when it comes to toppings. You can top with roasted sesame seeds, roasted peanuts, and scallions. In one of the photos, I added leftover sauteed spinach:)
